Acer aspire 3 fan noise

Hi, my new acer aspire s3 fan is running quite loud for the simplest of tasks even when recently just powered on. There is no signs of over heating.

I found that McAfee "Real-time" virus scanning was cuasing issues for me. I turned it off and the fan runs much less often now. Using a thin object such as a paperclip press the battery disconnect switch for 30 seconds. It is located on the bottom near the back with a picture of a small battery next to it. Power up while pressing F2, enter bios and reset everything to default then exit saving changes. Hello I want to ask how can I stop this noise the fan makes me very irritating.

But again, the noise come back. The noise will gone usually when i run heavy task, and the fan turn high speed, example when gaming, then it will be fine. But the noise appear again when i start the laptop fresh.

I start hear the fan very noise. Does anyone know how to fix it without sending back to seller? As I began using it, I immediately began hearing the fan noise. After I closed these apps, the noise significantly reduced.

Installing SpeedFan, shows that cpu is running in C, so the fan shouldn't run so fast and unfortunately the app cannot control the fan. I have the same exact computer S It was working perfectly fine until last week I thinkwhen it suddenly started with this crazy fan noise stuff. As I bought it about 6 months ago my first thought was dust. After taking a closer look there was no dust whatsoever that could explain this kind of behavior.

So, basically the fan has now suddenly two speeds: completely off and maxxximum overload. Before it has had a few different speeds than that, I seem to recall It always fails Anyway, I 've made a mistake buying an acer product.

Right now I have it on my desk, it's closed sleep mode but the fan is still spinning! It's a joke. I think I've found the next position for it: the trashcan or give it as a present to someone I hate. I have a fix for this, I also sent mine back to acer but they just replaced the fan so the problem still persisted. You can edit the config to use it however you want but obviously avoid setting it too low. It reminds me of my old laptop when after 6 years it started overheating and the fan was running loudly.

I want to clarify that I did not have this problem before receiving an update for the Bios. Previously this notebook was very quiet and did not heat at all. I tried to install the previous bios V1. I like this notebook, but much less since it is very noisy. I'm just wondering if i'm the only one with this issue.

I'm running both edge and google chrome at the same time and the fan isn't running right now. Maybe check to see if you have other programs running in the background? I don't run anything special, just Google-Chrome and it makes that annoying noise and when I don't use the laptop for 30 seconds, the noise will stop, as soon as I start to browse the web, the noise come back! I don't like this laptop and i'm bringing it back to the store.

Where I live we have 90 days to bring back something to the store without having to answer any questions. The only thing interesting about this laptop is the look and the price. There might be a problem with my laptop but I'll get my money back, I don't want to get an exchange for another swift 3. I'm realy disapointed about this product. I bought my i7 Swift 3 last week, and I plan to return it after the weekend.

The fan runs all the time and it is difficult to bear. I contacted the Acer Support and I found out that it might have Hardware problem and they ask me to send the laptop to the Support center for technical review. I did send it and when I got back the laptop, the noise was gone! They fixed the problem!
